Innovation Grant Application
BWEF provides support and recognition of innovative teaching programs, ideas, and methodologies that support the foundation’s goals of increasing student scores on tests, delivering improved student outcomes, preparing students for post-high school employment, or furthering the students’ ability to apply classroom learning to real world situations. We invite proposals that support this mission and enhance student learning in the Baldwin-Whitehall School District. This program provides funding not readily available through state, federal, or district resources.
BWEF defines innovation as a new approach, methodology, instructional asset or application that results in better solutions to classroom requirements, needs, or challenges.
Requirements
To be considered, applications should: (a) identify an innovative solution to a classroom requirement, need, or challenge through the use of a new approach, methodology, or instructional application, (b) explain how the innovative solution will increase students’ test scores, prepare students for post-high school employment, further students’ ability to apply classroom learning to real world problems or situations, or another identified classroom goal clearly identified in the application; (c) be adaptable to multiple instructional classroom settings, (d) include any development of new course material; and (e) describe any collaboration in teaching/learning between instructors and students.
Eligibility
This grant opportunity is open to individuals employed by the Baldwin-Whitehall School District that are (but not limited to) licensed school teachers, guidance counselors, librarians, paraprofessionals, and social workers.
Process
The completed Innovation Grant Application must be typed and submitted via email to [email protected]. Incomplete or unsigned applications will not be considered. All applications must be approved by the building principal prior to submission. The following materials must be included with the grant application:
