Community Impact
BWEF is an active participant in the Baldwin-Whitehall community and surrounding neighborhoods. We strive to be a good neighbor and to support local activities that generate goodwill and camaraderie in our school district.
Library Support
In September 2019, we sponsored a Little Free Library and dedicated it to Kathleen M. O'Leary, a lifelong advocate of literacy and education. Ms. O'Leary donated nearly 100 books from her personal collection to serve as the library's starting inventory. Located at Caste Commons in Caste Village Shopping Center, the library is part of a global book exchange designed to inspire a love of reading. We also sponsored a brick at the Baldwin Borough Public Library's grand opening in April 2019. The engraved brick is part of the donor exhibit at the library's main entrance. |
Cookie Day Extravaganza
We participate in the school district's annual Cookie Day Extravaganza by providing take-home cookie containers for all guests. The event began in 2018 as a way of connecting the district's student body with senior citizens living in the Baldwin-Whitehall communities. Held at Baldwin High School, the event drew nearly 300 community members in 2022. |
Faculty and Staff Appreciation
Many of our school district personnel are also parents, coaches, and residents in the Baldwin-Whitehall area. To show our appreciation for their work, we celebrate their accomplishments throughout the year and say 'thank you' in many different ways.
