The Brady Family Merit Scholarship
The scholarship application period is now open.
Deadline to submit a 2024 application: Sunday, April 28, 2024. Beginning in 2024, BWEF will present the Brady Family Merit Scholarship, which recognizes academic excellence at Baldwin High School and supports students in need of tuition assistance as they pursue a degree in higher education. The scholarship will be awarded annually in the value of $5,000, and was established through the generosity of the Brady family. Long-time Whitehall residents and lifelong advocates of education and financial literacy, they strongly believe that education is one of the primary keys to a fulfilling life. Having raised their son in the Baldwin-Whitehall School District, they feel blessed that he received a very strong educational foundation, which set him up for success in college and beyond. The intent of this scholarship is to pass some of this blessing onto others who are committed to their education and in need of financial assistance. |
Applicants must carry a weighted minimum grade point average of 4.0, be in good standing with the Baldwin-Whitehall School District, volunteer and/or participate in extra-curricular activities, and be in need of financial aid support as they prepare for college.
Additional requirements include:
- a copy of your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) Submission Summary.
- a copy of your high school transcript.
- a copy of your college acceptance letter.
- two letters of recommendation.
- a personal reflection in the form of a typed essay that responds to the question prompt in the application.
Applications are evaluated anonymously by an independent committee and certificates of scholarship are presented at senior recognition night. To be considered for this scholarship, follow the instructions on the online application.
