College in High School Financial Aid
Starting in fall 2022, BWEF will dedicate a minimum of $2,000 per school year to assist qualifying Baldwin High School students with fees associated with College in High School [CHS] course enrollment. CHS courses offer students an opportunity to earn college credits based on the successful completion of the courses at a reduced cost.
The number of CHS courses offered locally and their respective enrollment fees have increased over the past few years. In order to make this opportunity available to a larger population of learners, BWEF will make funding available to students who qualify for aid and whose family's financial circumstances preclude them from enrolling in these courses. Please note that CHS courses offered by the University of Pittsburgh will not participate in this program, as there is already an assistance program in place.

- are enrolled at Baldwin High School in grades 10, 11, or 12.
- qualify for a free/reduced lunch.
- are first- or second-generation American.
- speak English as a second language.
- represent a minority demographic.
- if known: one or both parents are not college graduates.
Process
- Students applying for CHS financial aid must complete a confidential online form.
- Information transferred through the form is private and will be received by a limited group of BHS personnel, who will review and make a determination on eligibility.
- Upon submission, the student will be contacted as soon as possible with information about next steps.
